"Jolly" Anders

Lt. Anders is a Viper pilot who is third-in-command of Galactica's air group, its commander is Major Jackson "Ripper" Spencer. Anders's callsign is Jolly.

Anders replaces Lt. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace as second-in-command after she is put in the brig for punching Colonel Saul Tigh.

Anders is with Galactica's 20 Viper Mark VIIs that are left. They are flying to Caprica when Galactica alerts them to a Cylon attack on their home worlds. After that, they meet two Cylon Raider (RDM)s that disable all the Vipers. Major Spencer, whose Viper is disabled, calls out to Anders to take over but Spencer cannot hear as his communication system is shut off.

Unable to fight, the Raiders easily destroy Anders's Viper and the rest of his squadron (Miniseries).

Kara Thrace later says Ander's call sign in a speech about dead pilots after Scar's death (Scar).
